Back in late August, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort closed for an extensive refurbishment. After numerous delays, the beloved fan-favorite soda shop has returned and has soft opened to guests ahead of its grand opening on December 26th.

Off to the side, the restaurant now sports its very own To-Go window. Previously, guests used to have to walk into the restaurant to a counter to order their To-Go shakes and ice creams, and the area was often crowded and congested. Now, this breezy new window and counter should help alleviate all of that.
Once inside, we’re happy that the restaurant has retained some of its old-timey charm:
Most notable is the expanded seating area. Whereas before the restaurant was no more than a handful of tables and booths, there’s plenty of tables and counter seating available.
While the ice cream cone sconces may have not survived the refurbishment, new pastel globe lighting illuminates the space. Red sirens for Kitchen Sink shenanigans have also made a triumphant return.
The expo kitchen has also made a return, and you can watch the cooks here pile ice cream high and sear patties to perfection from the themed windows lining the counters. There are even charging ports under the counters!
Best of all, we have the return of the old Wurlitzer jukebox, which was an iconic staple of the old restaurant.
To decorate the space, the walls are now lined with adorable character art, showing classic characters like Donald and his nephews, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto.
We weren’t sure what to expect with this remodel, but between the artwork and the undeniably beneficial added seating (and of course, the return of the jukebox), we aren’t too disappointed by the new look.
