Plant-based, vegan, and lactose intolerant Disney fans, you’re in for a real sweet treat…a non-dairy sweet treat, that is! The artistic and unique ice cream shop Salt & Straw is bringing vegan dessert to Downtown Disney, and we’re so excited to try it!
Disney has been adding more and more vegan food offerings, and it seems like now we can add an ice cream shop at Downtown Disney to the list of food locations with plenty of vegan options in the original Magic Kingdom. You can now find vegetarian and vegan food items all throughout Disneyland and Walt Disney World property, and we’re so happy that Sal & Straw is continuing to expand its vegan dessert offerings with entirely new flavors.
Salt & Straw just announced that they are bringing vegan ice cream flavors to Anaheim and their other locations as part of the shop’s monthly series. This means that every month there will be a new vegan flavor to try at not only the Downtown Disney location but also other Salt & Straw locations across California and the U.S. Here’s all the info about the Salt & Straw Vegandulgence Series coming in 2020:
Gone are the days when vegan implies a sacrifice. Every January we proclaim the virtues of nature by developing incredibly indulgent, creamy, extravagant ice creams that are totally dairy-free. That’s what Vegandulgence® means to us: 100% plant-based, 100% decadent. This isn’t just dairy-free ice cream—this is something you’ve never experienced before.
Here are the three vegan ice cream flavors you can try at Downtown Disney’s Salt & Straw location beginning this January. Keep in mind that, like with other Salt & Straw flavors that aren’t permanent, these are introduced seasonally, so hopefully we can expect even more new vegan ice cream flavors later in the year.

Not a vegan? Don’t worry! While the vegan flavors are definitely enticing, Salt & Straw also offers plenty of other ice cream flavors for you to try.
