The Skin Saint sent an eye cream sample to the newsroom. Here’s what we found.
This year has been “the year of the eye cream” for me.
I’m turning 30 and with the birth of my second child came less sleep, which meant I needed something to freshen up my skin and lighten the inevitable dark circles under my eyes.
I knew it was time for eye cream and had been desperately searching for one that made me look like I’d rested a full eight hours. I’d tried a few drugstore brands but none of them produced results.
When Skin Saint sent the Erie Times-News its Dream Eye Cream to sample, I figured I’d give it a whirl.
I’m a believer. I tried it for about two weeks daily and noticed my under eye bags were lightening.
It’s odorless and goes on very smoothly. I used it twice a day. I applied a small amount below my eyes and in the creases around the corners when I was applying makeup in the morning and again after I hopped out of the shower at night. It was easy to remember both times because I was already moisturizing the rest of my face.
The cream is anti-aging and “contains peptide complexes, a breakthrough Retinoid, a form of Vitamin K, to reduce dark circles, promote collagen production to improve fine lines and wrinkles and increase cellular turnover resulting in healthy, younger-looking skin in this delicate area,” according to information included with the sample from the company.
I’m a believer in all of the above. My skin looked and felt younger and firmer just in the two weeks I tried it.
It’s recommended for dry, normal and sensitive skin types, which worked perfectly for me because I’d classify myself as a normal skin type.
The product is dermatologist tested, paraben- and sulfate-free and is not tested on animals, according to information included with the sample.
It may seem a little pricey, $79 for a 0.53 ounce bottle, but that will last you a while because you’re only applying a tiny bit each day. It’s available for order at https://ift.tt/2Nc9ibX and you get free shipping to anywhere in the United States.
If you’re in need of a skin recharge, this is the eye cream for you.
