Back in late August, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort closed for an extensive refurbishment, meant to last through Winter 2019. Given the restaurant’s popularity and guest-favorite following, many have been anxiously awaiting its return post-refurbishment, but recent changes in refurbishment schedules may point to further delays.
The restaurant was originally meant to reopen three months after closing for refurbishment, putting it at a November or December 2019 reopen date, but it seems those dates have now been pushed further to January 4th, 2020.
That means while you won’t be able to gorge in one of their amazing holiday-themed milkshake for Christmas, at least you’ll get to start your year off right. Recent construction in the area pointed to a possible seating expansion, so the once-tiny hole-in-the-wall will soon be able to accommodate more guests. A temporary Beaches & Cream location is currently set up inside Ariel’s, located to the right of the original Beaches & Cream location, next to Martha’s Vineyard.
If you’re feeling nostalgic for the old-school ice cream parlor and soda shop, you can check out our full closing day tour in the video below:
Are you looking forward to the reopening of Beaches & Cream? Will you forever mourn the inevitable loss of its adorable 1950s interior?
